Instructions for flushing an outboard may vary by make and model. This can be found in the owner’s manual. Not following the instructions can cause damage to the water pump, impeller or the engine it self.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Running the motor without a water supply for even a few seconds can damage or destroy the impeller.
Remember to never start an outboard motor without a water supply.
