Q: What’s the pH level of the Salt Wash Detergent?

A: The Salt Wash Detergent is pH neutral (~7), making it safe for frequent use on a wide range of materials without causing degradation. It’s effective at removing salt residue and grime while being gentle on paint, gelcoat, rubber, metals, and plastics.

Q: Will the Engine Flush affect rubber seals or gaskets in my outboard/PWC?

A: No — the Engine Flush Solution is formulated to be non-aggressive and is safe on rubber seals, O-rings, gaskets, and internal cooling components. It won’t dry out or degrade sensitive parts.

Q: How long should the Engine Flush be run for?

A: We recommend running the flush for 2–3 minutes through your outboard or PWC cooling system. This allows enough time to dissolve salt build-up and circulate corrosion inhibitors throughout the internal pathways. Always follow with a clean water rinse.

Q: Does the Salt Wash leave any residue?

A: No. The Salt Wash is designed to rinse clean, leaving behind no sticky or soapy residue. It does, however, leave a light protective film that helps inhibit corrosion and slow down salt crystallisation between washes.

Q: Is it safe on aluminium, stainless, and coated surfaces?

A: Yes — being pH neutral, it’s 100% safe on polished and anodised aluminium, stainless steel, powder-coated parts, and painted surfaces. It’s perfect for boats, trailers, bullbars, and other marine or 4WD components.

Q: How many washes can I get from the 5L Salt Wash?

A: Each wash typically uses about 70ml of product, which means you can get up to 70 washes from the 5L bottle. Usage may vary depending on how heavy the salt build-up is and your foam gun settings.

Q: Is the Engine Flush suitable for all engine brands?

A: Yes. The solution is compatible with all major outboard and PWC brands including Yamaha, Mercury, Honda, Suzuki, Sea-Doo, and more – as long as they use a raw water cooling system with a standard flush port or earmuff adapter.
