Setting Up Your SkyDeck Rooftop Tent

1. Unclip and Unlock

Release the two latches at the front of the Duo to free the hard shell - the start of an effortless setup.

2. Lift the Hard Shell

Push up the hardshell and give the tent a light push, the rest of the tent will then open on its own.

Once the top is fully opened, hook the telescopic ladder to the anchor points of the tent.

Fold out and clip the internal frame together in a matter of seconds

  • How do I maintain the awning?

    Let it dry completely before packing away to prevent mould. Clean the fabric with mild soapy water (no harsh chemicals) and regularly check bolts. Store in the provided PVC bag when not in use.

  • How do I power the LED lights?

    The dual-colour LED strip lights connect to your 12V power source or auxiliary battery via the USB connection wiring harness included.

  • Does it block UV rays?

    Yes, the UV50+ rated fabric provides high-level sun protection, keeping you shaded and cool on hot days.

  • What is the waterproof rating?

    The 180º & 270º Awning is made from mould-resistant 600D double-ripstop Oxford with taped seams and a 3000 mm waterproof rating to keep you dry during downpours.

  • Is it freestanding or does it need poles?

    It’s freestanding with built-in support arms and hinged vertical legs. In calm conditions it stands without pegs, but we recommend using the supplied guy ropes and pegs in windy weather.

  • How much coverage does the 180º awning provide?

    The Straightline 180º Side Awning gives you 7.8 m² of sheltered space. Perfect for cooking, sitting or parking your swag underneath.
