How much weight do I need my roof racks to support?
The X1 Premium weighs about 93 kg including the ladder and mattress. Your roof racks and vehicle roof must be rated at least this for dynamic load while driving. Always follow the lower of your vehicle or rack rating.

Will it fit a 4WD canopy or ute rack system?
Yes, the mounting rails suit most common 4WD canopy racks and cross bars up to 68 mm wide. If you are unsure, measure your rack width and spacing or send us a photo for advice.

Can I store bedding inside when driving?
Yes, you can leave your doona, pillows and sleeping bags inside, secured by the internal straps, so set up and pack down is faster.

How do I get the tent onto my vehicle?
Two adults can lift it onto your racks. We recommend using a forklift or loading dock if available. Once on the racks, the included mounting kit bolts straight in with basic tools.

Does it create wind noise on the highway?
The 180 mm low profile shell and tapered front edge reduce drag and wind noise compared to bulkier tents. Correctly mounting it flush with your racks also minimises airflow noise.

What is the ladder length and adjustability?
The telescopic ladder extends to 2.3 m and adjusts in 50 mm increments to suit different vehicle heights. Slip resistant feet improve stability on uneven ground.

This bag is an absolute unit. We used it for a week long trek in the mountains and it didn't let us down once. The insulation stays put and doesn't clump up after a few uses like some cheaper bags I've had. Even when it was bouncing around in the back of the 4WD, the compression sack kept it protected and clean. If you're looking for a serious 3-season bag that actually keeps you warm, this is the one.
