Setting Up Your Ice-Vault 75L Fridge Freezer

1. Unpack & Inspect

Unpack fridge, check all accessories, and inspect unit carefully for any visible transport damage.

2. Put on Flat Surface

Position the fridge on a stable, flat surface with at least 10 cm ventilation clearance on each side.

3. Connect to Power (DC or AC)

Plug fridge into vehicle’s 12V/24V socket or use included adapter for 240V mains connection.

4. Power On the Unit

Hold down the power button on the control panel until the digital display activates and lights up. Set your temperature to your desired setting.

Is it waterproof or weatherproof?

The fridge itself is weather-resistant but not waterproof. It can handle dust, splashes and road grime, but it shouldn’t be left in heavy rain or submerged. Use the insulated cover for extra protection.
What’s the best way to pre-cool before a trip?

Plug it into 240V power the night before you leave and pre-cool both zones to your desired temps. Add your items once cold; the compressor won’t need to work as hard, saving battery life on the road.
What happens if one side isn’t cooling properly?

Check your lid seals and ensure both compartments are set to the correct mode. If one side still isn’t cooling, run it on MAX mode for 30 minutes to balance temps. If the issue persists, contact support, as it could be a sensor or fan issue.
Does it drain much power when it cycles?

The compressor draws around 5–6 amps on average when running, but it cycles on and off depending on ambient temperature and load. Once cool, it can be easily maintained with a small solar setup.
Can I open both lids when it’s installed in a drawer system?

Yes. Both lids are reversible and removable, so you can adjust them to open from either side or lift them off completely, depending on your drawer orientation.
Does it come with both AC and DC cables?

Yes, you’ll receive both a 12/24V DC power cable and a 240V AC cable in the box, so you can plug it into your car or a wall outlet straight away.
Can I use solar power to run it?

Yes, it’s perfectly suited to solar setups. You can connect it directly to your 12V battery system or power station fed by solar panels. Just make sure your system outputs a consistent voltage above the low-voltage cut-off point.
How does it perform in really hot weather?

The LG compressor and 50 mm insulation give it excellent thermal efficiency. Even in 40°C+ heat, it maintains set temps with no issue. Using the insulated cover (included or optional, depending on the bundle) further improves performance in direct sunlight.
Can it handle being mounted in the back of a 4WD full-time?

Yes. The fridge is built with reinforced corners, anti-vibration mounts, and heavy-duty handles, so it’s tough enough for corrugated roads and off-grid travel. We recommend using tie-down straps through the built-in anchor points to keep it secure.
Does the fridge remember my settings after being switched off?

Yes. The onboard memory retains your temperature and mode settings, so when you reconnect power, it resumes operation exactly where it left off, no re-programming needed.
Can I control both zones separately?

Absolutely. Each zone has its own digital thermostat and compressor control, so you can run both as fridges, both as freezers, or one of each. You can even power one side off completely to save energy.
Can I use this fridge freezer while my vehicle is turned off?

Yes, the fridge can safely run while the vehicle is off. It has a 3-stage battery protection system that automatically cuts power before your battery voltage gets too low, preventing you from being stranded.
How long will my Fridge Freezer run off my battery before I need to recharge?

It depends on your setup and ambient temperature. As a rough guide, a 100Ah lithium battery can power the fridge for 30–40 hours in average conditions (both zones running, moderate temps). You’ll get longer runtimes if one side is off or running in ECO mode.
