How long does it take to set up the 270° Awning?

Thanks to the Incorporated Support System, you can deploy the awning in under one minute. The hinged legs drop straight from the horizontal arms — no loose poles or parts to manage.
Can one person set it up and pack it away?

Yes. The 270° Awning is designed for one-person setup and pack-down. For windy conditions, we recommend securing guy ropes before stepping away.
Does it fit on any vehicle?

The 270° Awning mounts to most roof racks or crossbars on 4WDs, vans, SUVs and trucks. It’s passenger-side standard but can be adapted with correct mounting brackets. Check your roof load rating before installation.
Is it freestanding or does it need poles?

It’s freestanding with built-in support arms and hinged vertical legs. In calm conditions, it stands without pegs, but for wind above 10–15 km/h we strongly recommend using the supplied guy ropes and pegs for safety.
What is the waterproof rating?

The 270° Awning is made from mould-resistant 600D double-ripstop Oxford with taped seams and a 3000 mm waterproof rating — keeping you dry during unexpected downpours.
Does it provide sun protection?

Yes, the UV50+ rated fabric blocks harmful UV rays, keeping you shaded and cool on hot days.
What’s included in the box?

The awning, integrated LED strip light, built-in vertical legs, guy ropes, pegs, mounting hardware, wiring harness and a fire-retardant PVC storage bag.
Can I attach walls or extra panels?

Yes. The 270° Awning has integrated Velcro strips for seamless attachment of optional awning walls (sold separately) for added shade, wind-blocking or full enclosure.
How stable is it in windy conditions?

The powder-coated aluminium frame and stainless-steel knuckles handle gusts up to 30 km/h when correctly pegged and tensioned. For stronger winds, pack it down to avoid damage.
How do I power the LED lights?

The dual-colour LED strip lights connect to your 12V power source or auxiliary battery via the supplied wiring harness.
How should I maintain the awning?

Let it dry before packing away to avoid mould, check all bolts regularly and clean fabric with mild soapy water (no harsh chemicals). Store in the provided PVC bag to protect against UV and dirt when not in use.
What is the warranty?

The BlackFlag 270° Awning is backed by our standard manufacturer’s warranty. Damage caused by incorrect installation, severe wind when unsecured, or misuse is not covered.
