What makes 4WD & RV Wash different from a regular car wash?
4WD & RV Wash is a high-alkaline (pH 10–12) detergent formulated to remove heavy mud, red dirt, road film, bugs and off-road grime. It's also loaded with anti-rust and corrosion inhibitors to help protect vehicles regularly exposed to saltwater, beach driving and harsh environments.

Will it help protect against rust after beach driving?
Yes. The formula contains corrosion inhibitors that help protect metal surfaces after washing by reducing the effects of salt and moisture. For best results, wash your vehicle as soon as possible after beach or coastal use.

Can I use it in a foam cannon?
Yes. It can be used in a foam cannon, foam gun or wash bucket.

Will it strip my wax or sealant?
Its high-alkaline formula provides a deep clean and may reduce the lifespan of waxes and some paint sealants with repeated use. For routine maintenance washing, we recommend Salty Captain Car Wash Detergent.

Can I use it on caravans, campers and RVs?
Yes. It is suitable for painted surfaces, fibreglass, gelcoat, glass, plastics and decals when used as directed.

Can I wash my chassis and underbody with it?
Absolutely. It's ideal for cleaning chassis rails, suspension, underbody components and engine bays, helping remove built-up mud, salt and grime while leaving corrosion inhibitors behind.

Will it remove red dirt and baked-on mud?
Yes. The high-alkaline formula is specifically designed to break down stubborn mud, clay, bugs, road film and red dirt. Heavy contamination may require agitation with a wash mitt or soft brush.

Is it suitable for vehicles that see regular beach use?
Yes. It was specifically developed for 4WDs, caravans and RVs exposed to coastal conditions, combining powerful cleaning with corrosion inhibitors to help combat the damaging effects of salt.
