What surfaces can I use Captain Clears Polish on?
It's specifically formulated for Strataglass®, eisenglass, PVC and other flexible marine clear enclosures. Always test on an inconspicuous area before first use.
Can I apply it by hand or with a machine?
Yes. Captain Clears Polish can be applied by hand using a clean microfibre applicator or with a dual-action or rotary polisher fitted with a soft microfibre buffing pad at low speed.
Do I need to use Captain Clears Cleaner first?
Yes. For the best results, clean the surface first with Captain Clears Cleaner to remove salt, dirt and contaminants before polishing.
Will it remove scratches?
Captain Clears Polish may help reduce the appearance of very light surface marks and fine hazing, but it is not designed to remove deep scratches or damaged marine clears.
How often should I apply Captain Clears Polish?
For boats regularly exposed to saltwater and UV, reapply every 4–8 weeks, or whenever water repellency and clarity begin to diminish.
