Foam Cannons & Foam Guns

A foam cannon or foam gun covers your car, boat or 4WD in thick, clinging foam that loosens dirt, mud and salt before you touch the paint. That means less scrubbing and fewer swirl marks. Use a foam gun on a garden hose, or a foam cannon if you own a pressure washer.

Foam cannon or foam gun: which do I need?

• Captain's Musket – garden hose foam gun, $69. Screws onto a standard garden hose and foams at mains pressure. No pressure washer needed. Also great for chassis flushing and Engine Flush.
• Big Loads Foam Cannon – for pressure washers, $96. Fits your pressure washer and lays down thick foam for the pre-wash.
• Big Loads Pro Foam Cannon – high pressure, $149. Our high pressure snow foam cannon for dense, clinging foam on bigger vehicles and boats.
• High Pressure Detail Gun – $149. A short detail gun for your pressure washer. Easier to control around wheels, engine bays and chassis.

How to use a foam cannon

1. Fill. Add detergent to the bottle, then top up with water as the instructions say.
2. Rinse. Pre-rinse loose dirt, working from the top down.
3. Foam. Cover the vehicle bottom to top so the foam clings longest on the dirtiest panels.
4. Dwell. Let it sit for a few minutes, but don't let it dry in the sun.
5. Rinse or contact wash. Rinse it off, or follow with a contact wash using a Wooly Wash pillow.

Which detergent should I put in my foam cannon?

• Car Wash – pH-neutral and safe on wax and ceramic coatings. Best for cars.
• 4WD & RV Wash – stronger alkaline formula for mud, bugs and road grime.
• Salt Wash – dissolves salt on boats, jet skis, trailers and beach 4WDs.

Foam cannon FAQs

Can I use a foam cannon without a pressure washer?

Not a true foam cannon, but the Captain's Musket foam gun does the same job on a normal garden hose.

Is snow foam safe on ceramic coatings?

Yes, as long as you use a pH-neutral wash like our Car Wash.

Can I wash a boat with a foam cannon?

Yes. Foam with Salt Wash to dissolve salt from the hull, deck and trailer, then rinse.
