1. Do I need to scrub the bilge to get it clean?
For routine maintenance, Bilge Bandit is a "spray and rinse" product. For heavy, caked-on sludge that has been sitting for years, a light agitation with a stiff brush will help the formula penetrate deeper for a perfect finish.

2. Can I spray this directly onto my engine?
Yes. It is an excellent engine bay cleaner. Ensure the engine is cool to the touch, spray Bilge Bandit onto the greasy areas, let it dwell for 2–3 minutes, and rinse with fresh water. Avoid high-pressure water directly on sensitive electrical sensors.

3. Will this affect my bilge pump?
No. Bilge Bandit is designed to be used in the areas where your pump lives. By breaking down the thick grease and sludge, it can actually help prevent your float switches from sticking and keep your pump clear of debris.

4. How much should I use for a standard bilge clean?
You don't need to fill the bilge! Just spray a generous amount over the contaminated surfaces. For a "sloshing clean," you can add 200ml to the bilge water before a trip, let the boat's motion agitate it, and then pump it out at an approved disposal station.

5. Does it help with that "old boat" smell?
Absolutely. Most bilge odours come from stagnant fuel and oil residues. By chemically removing these contaminants, Bilge Bandit eliminates the source of the smell rather than just masking it.

6. Is it safe for the environment?
Yes, it is labelled as an Eco-Friendly Product. However, remember that while the cleaner is biodegradable, the oil and fuel you are cleaning are not. Always dispose of your bilge water at an authorised pump-out or waste station.

7. Can I use this on my trailer hubs or wheels?
Yes! Because it is a powerful degreaser, it works wonders on greasy trailer hubs, oily wheels, and even driveway stains left by your 4WD.
